Who is Ray Rippelmeyer?

Raymond Roy Rippelmeyer is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Washington Senators in 1962. After his playing days, he began a baseball coaching career which included managing the Aberdeen Pheasants in 1965.

In Major League Baseball, Rippelmeyer spent nine seasons as the pitching coach of the Philadelphia Phillies, working under managers Frank Lucchesi, Paul Owens and Danny Ozark. Rippelmeyer coached for three National League East Division champions. He later was a major league pitching instructor in the Phillie farm system.
