Who is Reg Cooper?
Reg Cooper was a British country music singer and songwriter.
John Denver recorded one of Cooper's songs, "Catch Another Butterfly".
Cooper hosted a country music show called 'Orange Blossom Special', from 1969 until the early 1980s, on BBC Radio Nottingham.
Cooper was registered blind, his interest in music began when he formed a group with a bunch of fellow partially sighted friends while working at a home for the blind.
He won a recording contract in September 2000 with Cleveland City, who offered to spend £300,000 to promote his album Beautiful Day. The title track was tipped as a Christmas number one by bookmakers.
Cooper was the father of the author, Sheila Hocken.
