Who was Regina Gerlecka?
Regina Gerlecka was a Polish chess master.
In January 1935, she won Warsaw championships. In June 1935, she won the 1st Polish Women Championship in Warsaw. In August 1935, she took 2nd, behind Vera Menchik, in the 5th Women's World Chess Championship in Warsaw.
She tied for 5-7th in women's super-tournament at Semmering 1936. Gerlecka was again Polish Champion in 1937. In August 1937, she tied for 10-16th in 6th Women's World Chess Championship in Stockholm. In 1939, she tied for 1st-2nd with Róża Herman in Warsaw championships.
After World War II, she took 3rd at Łódź.
