Who is Reza Moridi?
Reza Moridi, PhD, MPP is a Canadian politician, and the first Iranian-Canadian elected to a provincial or federal legislature in Canada. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in the 2007 provincial election and re-elected in 2011, representing the riding of Richmond Hill, where he has lived with his family since 1991. He is a member of the Ontario Liberal Party and Liberal Party of Canada.
Moridi was appointed Ontario Minister of Research and Innovation in Feb 2013, and in June 2014 was also appointed Minister of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
