Who is Richard B. McQuade Jr.?

Richard B. McQuade Jr. is a former United States federal judge.

Born in Toledo, Ohio, McQuade received a B.A. from the University of Toledo in 1961 and a J.D. from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1965. He was an Assistant prosecutor, Fulton County, Ohio from 1966 to 1968. He was a Prosecuting attorney of Fulton County, Ohio from 1969 to 1978. He was in private practice in Swanton, Ohio from 1966 to 1978. He was a judge on the Court of Common Pleas, State of Ohio from 1978 to 1986.

On July 28, 1986, McQuade was nominated by President Ronald Reagan to a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio vacated by Nicholas Joseph Walinski, Jr.. McQuade was confirmed by the United States Senate on September 12, 1986, and received his commission on September 15, 1986. McQuade served until his resignation, on September 30, 1989.

McQuade then became President and CEO of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Ohio.
