Who is Richard John Brandes?
Richard John "RJ" Brandes is an American businessman. He was the founder and CEO of Belgravia Capital, a middle market commercial finance and real estate mortgage bank which was acquired by the Finova Group in 1997. Belgravia was, in 1996, the 6th largest mortgage lender in the country.
Brandes also founded Blenheim Equisports, which hosts some of the most prominent show-jumping, equitation, and dressage exhibitions in California. Blenheim facilities host 14 Grand Prix events a year and in 2004 hosted the Olympic Trials. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Valery Gergiev, Mary-Kate Olsen and others have attended or participated in his horse shows.
RJ is married to Adrienne Brandes. They were married in September 2011 and reside in Corona del Mar, CA, and Aspen, CO.
