Who was Robert Adley?
Robert James Adley was a Conservative Party politician in the United Kingdom and railway enthusiast.
Adley was educated at Uppingham School and would become a company director. In the 1970s Adley was part-time Marketing Director for Holiday Inn. He would brief his agency in the morning, before going to the House of Commons. Adley was born Jewish but converted to Anglicanism, and was married with two children.
