Who was Robert Moorsom?
Admiral Sir Robert Moorsom KCB was an officer of the Royal Navy who served during the American War of Independence, the French Revolutionary War and the Napoleonic Wars. His very active service career was especially highlighted by his actions in 1805 at the battle of Trafalgar, where his ship HMS Revenge was severely damaged and Moorsom was himself seriously wounded.
