Who was Roger Webb?

Roger Webb was a British songwriter and jazz pianist best known for leading Roger Webb's Trio for television series and club performances, and Roger Webb's Orchestra.

His songs were sung by Bette Davis, Rex Harrison, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Bassey, Danny Williams and others.

His television and film work included the opening theme of Strange Report and film music for British comedies such as Bedtime with Rosie and What's Up Nurse?. With Geoff Love he provided orchestral arrangements for The Last Will and Testament of Jake Thackray. He also worked with Dee Shipman on Emma.
