Who was Rudolf Ismayr?
Rudolf Ismayr was a German weightlifter and Olympic champion. He won a gold medal at the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He received a silver medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
He was expected by Hitler to get the golden medal but the Egyptian Khadr El Touni beat him.
Ismayr took the Olympic Oath at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.
