Who was Rudolf Ruedemann?
Rudolf Ruedemann, Ph.D. was an American paleontologist, born at Georgenthal. He was educated in Europe at Jena, and at Strassburg where he was an assistant in geology 1887 - 1892. He emigrated to the United States in 1892 and taught at the high schools of Lowville, New York and Dolgeville, New York, then becoming assistant State paleontologist. He investigated fossils of the Wenlock epoch and other era.
He was married with a daughter and six sons, and retired in 1937.
