Who is Ruediger John?
Ruediger John is an Austrian artist.
He creates situative, installative, interventionistic, research- and publication-oriented works and exhibitions; definitoric and practical works in Artistic Research, Systemic Art and Transfer art; numerous invitations to events and exhibitions and participation on discourses on these topics; since 1997 he is working as an artist as Critical Aesthetic Consultant.
Since 2000 Ruediger John is teaching at different universities and academies; a.o. 2001-2003 als Artistic-Scientific Assistant, Assistant Professor for situative, installative working, Context, Cognition, Mixed-Media at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart and in further guest lectures and as visiting professor. 2002-2003 Professor in substitution for Art/Art- and Design Sciences at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences, Design and Economy Pforzheim. 2004-2005 Visiting Professor for Kunst und Wirtschaft - Transferkunst, Systemische Kunst, künstlerische Forschung at Universität der Künste Berlin, as well as at the Center for Applied Cultural Sciences and Studium Generale at Universität Karlsruhe. He is founder of Gesellschaft für kritische Ästhetik.
