Who is Rune Lothe?
Rune Lothe is a Norwegian football coach and former player.
Hailing from Grinde, Lothe started his career in SK Vard Haugesund; and later went to Skjold IL. He joined FK Haugesund in 1995, and enjoyed a spell in the Norwegian Premier League in the seasons 1997 and 1998. He left ahead of the 2000 season to return to Skjold. He later become playing assistant coach at Torvastad IL together with Sjur Jarle Hauge, but as the 2004 season ended with relegation, Lothe was instead hired to coach SK Nord. He remained active as a player. Ahead of the 2008 season Lothe was hired as head coach of Skjold, where he was until the 2010 season. After a short spell as assistant coach for the Norwegian Premier League side FK Haugesund, he is now head coach of the third division side Kopervik IL in Kopervik
