Who is Ruth Langsford?

Ruth Wendy Langsford is an English television presenter best known for co-presenting the ITV lifestyle programme This Morning alongside her husband Eamonn Holmes since 2006.

Langsford's career began when she became a newscaster for ITV Regional News in the South West. Langsford rose to national fame when she became a panellist on ITV's flagship dayime chat show Loose Women, which she appeared on until 2002. After leaving Loose Women, Ruth occasionally guest anchored the show as a stand-in presenter, but made her return to Loose Women as a regular anchor in January 2014, where she currently anchors the show on Wednesdays, sharing duties with Carol Vorderman, Andrea McLean and Kaye Adams. In addition to Loose Women, Ruth continues to co-present This Morning on Fridays with Eamonn Holmes.

Besides her television work, Ruth is heavily involved in a number of charities. She is an ambassador of Alzheimer's Society and, alongside Eamonn Holmes is a patron of the Dogs Trust.
