Ryōta Yamaguchi is a Japanese anime screenwriter often associated with Sunrise.
He penned a number of scripts for Sunrise's anime TV series The Vision of Escaflowne, as well as writing the movie version, Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea with director Kazuki Akane.
