Who is Sam Clancy?

Sam Clancy is a former defensive end in the National Football League. He played for the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and Indianapolis Colts. He also played for the Pittsburgh Maulers and the Memphis Showboats of the United States Football League.

Prior to his professional football career, he was a standout college basketball player for the University of Pittsburgh and played a season in the Continental Basketball Association for the Billings Volcanos in 1981-82, averaging 11.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. He did not play football in college.

He has been an assistant coach for the Barcelona Dragons of NFL Europe, as well as the New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders.
