Who was Sam Nahem?

Samuel Ralph "Subway Sam" Nahem, born in New York, New York, was a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Philadelphia Phillies.

He was Jewish, and was the uncle of former MLB outfielder Al Silvera.
