Who is Sandra Laugier?
Sandra Laugier is a French philosopher, working on moral philosophy, philosophy of language, philosophy of action and philosophy of science. She is currently a professor at the University of Paris I and Scientific deputy director at the Institute for Humanities and Social Sciences at the French National Centre for Scientific Research, after being a professor at the University of Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens, France.
Sandra Laugier extensively worked on J. L. Austin and L. Wittgenstein; she also introduced several aspects of American philosophy to French readers. Her recent work focuses on moral philosophy, the ethics of care and gender studies and aesthetics.
