Who is Sandro Mendes?
Sandro Miguel Laranjeira Mendes, simply Sandro, is a Cape Verdean retired footballer. A central midfielder, he also held a Portuguese passport.
Most of his professional career was spent with Vitória de Setúbal, which he represented on no fewer than three separate spells. In the Portuguese top division he amassed totals of 195 games and six goals, over the course of nine seasons.
Internationally, Sandro played for the Cape Verde national team.
