Who is Savan Kotecha?

Savan Kotecha is an American songwriter and record producer of Indian descent, from Austin, Texas. Kotecha has co-written such hits as Britney Spears' "If U Seek Amy" and "I Wanna Go", Usher’s "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love", Ariana Grande's "Problem", One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful" Kiss You"and "Live While We're Young", and Maroon 5's "One More Night" amongst others. The recipient of 9 BMI Awards 7 ASCAP Awards, and 2 Billboard Music Awards, Kotecha’s songs have achieved number one status the world over, having sold more than 100 million copies. Kotecha can be seen on the American version of Simon Cowell's The X Factor, where as Vocal Producer, a role reprised from the original UK show, Kotecha aids and develops the show's budding talent. In 2013, he set up his own record label Mr. Kanani under Syco Music. The first release was the debut album, Nothing to Lose by Emblem3 where he served as the executive-producer.
