Who is Scott Evans?
Scott Evans is an Irish professional badminton player. As of 2006 he is the highest ranked Irish player and gained himself a scholarship by the Olympic Council of Ireland to focus on the 2008 Summer Olympics.
He won the Irish National Badminton Championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Evans has also already played 3 times with the world top seed China's Lin Dan. Evan started playing against Lin Dan from 2011 German Open and was stopped by the Chinese after a 11-21 and 18-21 lose in the second round in Germany. Later in the World Championship 2011, Evans met the high seed Lin Dan from China the second time and came out with a 15-21, 16-21 score in the second round. Nearly one year later that was in 2012 London Olympics, Evans again met the high seed Lin Dan of China in the first round and scored 8-21 and 14-21.
He attended Wesley College Dublin.
