Who is Sean Berry?
Sean Berry is a former Major League Baseball player who served primarily as a third baseman from 1990-2000. He was a member of the Houston Astros' original "Killer B's", along with Jeff Bagwell, Craig Biggio, and Derek Bell. He is currently the Minor League hitting coordinator for the San Diego Padres.
On May 8, 2009 Berry went through a surgery to remove his cancerous kidney, which turned out successful.
Berry served as the Astros' hitting coach until July 11, 2010 when he was fired and replaced with former Astro teammate Jeff Bagwell. At the time of the switch the Astros had an NL-worst OBP and SLG
On September 9, 2010 the San Diego Padres hired Berry as their Minor League hitting coordinator, replacing Tony Muser.
