Who is Sean Dyche?
Sean Mark Dyche is an English former footballer, and subsequently a coach and manager. He played as a centre back and is currently the manager of Burnley F.C.
Dyche started his playing career as an apprentice at Nottingham Forest under the management of Brian Clough, but didn't make a senior appearance and joined Chesterfield in 1990. Dyche played the majority of his professional games for Chesterfield. He was part of the side that won promotion in 1995, and captained and scored for Chesterfield in an FA Cup semi-final in 1997. He spent subsequent spells at Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and finally Northampton Town. He retired in 2007, having achieved promotions with four of the six clubs he had played for.
Dyche returned to Watford as youth team coach in 2007. He was promoted to assistant manager under Malky Mackay in 2009, and succeeded Mackay as manager in 2011, leading the team to mid-table safety before being replaced by Gianfranco Zola in July 2012. In October 2012 he was appointed manager of Burnley F.C.
