Who was Severin Bijelić?

Severin Bijelić was a Serbian actor. He appeared in 77 films and television shows between 1949 and 1972. He starred in the 1967 film The Rats Woke Up, which won the Silver Bear for Best Director at the 17th Berlin International Film Festival.

While he was young, he was also a football goalkeeper, having played in the Yugoslav First League with Belgrade side FK BASK. Before the start of the Second World War, he was the usual goalkeeper of the Yugoslav U-21 team, and in 1941 he moved to FK Obilić.
