Who is Shane Price?
Shane Price, second generation racer Shane Price was born with petrol in his blood, being the son of multiple Kart champion Drew Price and nephew to female racer Melinda Price. In 2006 Perkins Motorsport gave him his first foray into the Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, after good performances in Formula Ford.
For 2007, Larry Perkins has given Price a major responsibility and the youngster will line up in the main series in the Jack Daniel's Racing VE Commodore. This was his first full season in the top V8 series in Australia. 2008 saw him continue with Jack Daniel's Racing until he was sacked after round 10 due to poor race results and replaced by Jack Perkins for the remaining 4 rounds of the season.
In 2008 he was chosen by Holden as one of the drivers for the 2008 WPS Bathurst 12 Hour in a Holden Commodore Sportswagon although a result was not forthcoming as the car struggled with brake problems. 2009 saw a return to the Fujitsu series and a debut in Superkarts. His first Superkart meeting in New Zealand saw Price take out the championship.
