Who is Shay Astar?
Shay Astar is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is best known for her work in the late 1990s, portraying the neo-feminist August Leffler, a semi-regular character on the sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun. She also played Elizabeth in the Halloween film Ernest Scared Stupid, and Paula Kelly in the Boy Meets World episode "I Am Not a Crook."
Shay Astar portrayed an imaginary friend named Isabella in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Imaginary Friend" in 1992.
She released her first EP, "Blue Music EP," on May 24, 2010. This was followed by her full length debut, "Blue Music" on September 28, 2010.
She was also in the Rifftrax-riffed short educational film, "The Clean Club," a short featuring inappropriately sexualized and militant stop-motion-animated household items and sundries. Astar played the baseball-obsessed tomboy whose toiletries taunt her into washing her hair and face, no matter whether she sees dirt or just feels like there might be dirt there.
