Shayne Carter is best known for being the Straitjacket Fits' principal singer/songwriting/guitarist in the late 80s/early 90s, and later on a founding member of Dimmer.
Carter comes from a musical family. He was born to a Caucasian mother and a Māori father who was adopted by a Pakeha family.
