Who is Shelley Oates-Wilding?

Shelley Oates-Wilding is an Australian sprint canoer who competed from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, she earned her best finish of eighth in the K-4 500 m event at Atlanta in 1996.

She held an Australian Institute of Sport netball scholarship from 1984 to 1988. A serious knee injury resulted in her taking up canoeing. She held an AIS sprint canoeing scholarship in 1995-1996.
