Who is Shimun XVII Abraham?
Mar Shimun XVII Abraham was Patriarch of the Assyrian Church of the East from c. 1820 to c. 1860. He led the church from Qodshanis, in southeastern Turkey.
He is buried in the Church of Mar Shalita in Turkey.
