Who is DJ Shyboy?

Jason Arnold, known by his stage name ShyBoy, is an American singer, songwriter, producer and mashup artist. His music's been featured in numerous hit TV shows, films and video games including SyFy's Warehouse 13, CW's America's Next Top Model and Capcom's multi-platinum game Devil May Cry 4. He has performed on stages in Europe and North America, including a headliner slot at the fourth annual Carmel Art and Film Festival. He has shared the stage with artists such as Amanda Palmer, Griffin House and Bell X1, and made appearances on numerous radio shows and web series, including Stripped Down Live with Curt Smith.

ShyBoy's debut solo LP Water on Mars, released through digital retailers worldwide on October 8, 2013, was produced by Mark Nubar and ShyBoy in Hollywood, CA and features co-writes with noteworthy songwriters such as Allee Willis, Wendy Waldman and more. ShyBoy performed a series of album launch shows, including the CBGB Festival in NYC October 10-14, 2013 and The Hotel Café in Los Angeles on October 18, 2013. The Huffington Post's review noted that the album "makes a bold, tuneful impression on today's indie-pop landscape" and that it is "one of the year's smartest, not-to-be-missed debuts." LA blog BuzzBands.LA noted ShyBoy's versatility and described his sound as "wonderfully dramatic." The week of the release, the HLN show Raising America picked up Water on Mars album track "When I Close My Eyes" as its theme song. Additionally, a cover version of the album track "Everytime I See the Moon" has been produced and recorded for the pilot episode of the new Bryan Fuller series in development, High Moon.
