Who is Simo Krunić?

Simo Krunić is a Bosnian football manager and former player.

He is currently the head coach of Dalian Aerbin in the Chinese Super League.

During his playing career he played for his birth city clubs FK Sarajevo and FK Željezničar before he moved to Belgrade in 1992 to play with OFK. After two seasons, he moved abroad in 1994 to play in Spanish Segunda División club Atlético Marbella where he played until 1996 when he moved to Far East and had a short spell in South Korean K-League club Pohang Steelers, called "Atoms" by then. Next, he return to Europe and played in Yugoslavia with First League club FK Čukarički Stankom. In 1997 he moved to Greece where he would play mainly in the Beta Division having represented the clubs of Larissa F.C., ILTEX Lykoi F.C. and Panetolikos F.C.. He retired in 2001.

Soon he decided to keep involved with football having started a perspective coaching career having coached mainly in Serbia. In his still short career, he has already coached some well known clubs such as FK Željezničar Sarajevo, BASK Beograd, OFK Beograd and FK Čukarički Stankom, having also had the experience of being the Assistant coach of Javier Clemente at the Serbian national team.
