Who is John Parker?

Sir Thomas John Parker, GBE Kt. FREng is a British businessman. He is currently Chairman of Anglo American PLC and Ombu Group, Deputy Chairman of DP World, and a Director of EADS and Carnival Corporation & plc. He is also Past President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and a Visiting Fellow of the University of Oxford. Sir John has chaired five FTSE 100 companies, including National Grid plc, from which he stood down in December 2011. He was born in County Down, Northern Ireland.
