Who is Skip Thoren?

Duane W. "Skip" Thoren is an American former professional basketball player.

A 6'10" center from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Thoren played three seasons in the American Basketball Association as a member of the Minnesota Muskies and Miami Floridians. He averaged 13.2 points per game and 11.0 rebounds per game in his career and appeared in the 1969 ABA All-Star Game.

Before playing in the ABA Thoren played in Italy for Simmenthal Milano together with Bill Bradley and won the 1965-66 European Champions Cup

Thoren was elected to the "Illini Men's Basketball All-Century Team" in 2004.
