Who is Stuart Harris-Logan?

Stuart Harris-Logan is an ethnographer, folklorist and writer living in Scotland, UK. He is the author of two books, Dancing With Ravens and Singing With Blackbirds. The former is an introduction to Gaelic folklore and interpretive dance; while the latter is an anthropological work on the origins and continuity of religious practices, focusing primarily on Celtic and Gaelic traditions.

Harris-Logan was raised in a family originating from the Scottish Western isle of Barra and in a culture firmly connected to the Gaelic oral tradition. He delivers seminars and has given talks on subjects including traditional folk healing practices; Gaelic bird imitations and chants; and Alexander Carmichael's Carmina Gadelica. He is a native Gaelic speaker.
