Sylvan N. Friedman was a Louisiana politician, a rare Jewish member of both houses of the Louisiana State Legislature. He served from Natchitoches Parish in the House of Representatives from 1944 to 1952 and then in the State Senate from 1952 until his defeat in 1972.
