  I met Teddy when I was 22 years old. He introduced me to Radio, I trained with Adrian Lopez for a few weeks and shorty after he put me on the air. My 3 hour and a half show aired every day before Wolfman Jack's show, with his "oldies but goodies". For several years with musica regional on La Gigante Musical 1090 am. Radio Express, was my home, my school, and Teddy my teacher. I came to learn what I now know about language, the market, el Pueblo, sus usos y costumbres. Teddy was my first employer, I admired his discipline, his candor, he was a perfectionist but at the same time a true gentlemen, those you only see in movies. I left to go chase my dreams and work in journalism, I had gone to LACC to learn to be a communicator so I took my risk and went to work as a news director to channel 52, I was green but I enjoyed the challenge. Teddy said to me, practice a thousand times and success will find you. We became best friends only 18 years ago after we bump into each other on a television event. From there on I allowed myself the pleasure to hear all the stories that this hombre del Mexico de ayer, had to share. Mr. Fregoso met in Guadalajara a la Sra. Maria Felix. Dated Sarita Montiel, fell in love and lived with Maria Elena Salinas, he introduce Maria Elena to radio and later referred her to Danny Villanueva to replace somebody in the news department. He had an eye for talent, most of the radio announcers in LA were talent that he put on the spot light to shine. Teddy had a great sense of humor. Teddy created a better world for many of us. Ignited the imagination to many of us, he pushed us to believe that we could accomplish all we wanted and sale anything on the air by applying and using "la lengua del pueblo" I loved Teddy, I always will, he was married to Radio, he was faithful only to Radio. He lived every day with enthusiasm, with joy and with the enchantment of 22 year old. The last time I saw him was on January 4, 2015. Monday the 5th he went to small claims court to settle a legal matter with a one young client that owed him money, he had won three other ballets that year. We spoke on monday evening and again on tuesday night. He will forever live in my heart my mind and soul. Patricia Hernandez more »
