Who is Terry Tyler?

Terry Christopher Tyler is a retired American basketball player.

A 6'7" forward/guard from Northwestern High School and the University of Detroit, Tyler played 11 seasons in the NBA as a member of the Detroit Pistons, Sacramento Kings, and Dallas Mavericks. He averaged 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in his NBA career and earned NBA All-Rookie Team honors in 1979. He also participated in the 1986 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he finished in last place.

In 2001, he was inducted into the Detroit Mercy Titans Hall of Fame.
