Who is Thomas E. Pardun?
Thomas E. Pardun is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Western
Digital Corporation. He has served as a director of WD since 1993 and
first served as Chairman from January 2000 to November 2001.
In
July of 2000, Pardun retired as president of MediaOne International,
Asia-Pacific (formerly U S WEST Asia-Pacific), an owner/operator of
international properties in cable television, telephone services and
wireless communications. Before that, he was president and chief
executive officer of U S WEST Multimedia Communications, Inc., and held
numerous other executive positions with U S WEST.
Before
joining U S WEST, Mr. Pardun was president of the Central Group for
Sprint, as well as president of Sprint’s West Division and senior vice
president of business development for United Telecom, a predecessor
company to Sprint. Mr. Pardun began his career with a 19-year tenure
with IBM.
