Who is Thomas of Monmouth?
Thomas of Monmouth was a monk who lived in a Benedictine monastery in Norwich, in Norfolk, England during the 12th century. He is noted for his book The Life and Miracles of St William of Norwich, a hagiography of William of Norwich which is commonly cited as the origin of the blood libel against Jews.
