Who is Timmy Gatling?

Timmy Gatling (born August 6, 1966), an American musician, was an original member of the swingbeat threesome Guy. After he left the group for his own production and recording career, he carried on producing for other artists and groups. He found the time to release his only solo album, Help!, in 1989, and it featured two moderate hits including the title track & "Rock Me Good". Since the early '90s, Gatling went into obscurity, other than songwriting credits for acts such as Bell Biv DeVoe and Christopher Williams. In early 2000, Timmy Gatling formed the trio SURREEL, with AHMAUTA, V-McGill and Craig McLaughlan. Since then AHMAUTA has left Gatling's group, but production for MAN'S VIEW album is still active. In November 2007, Tim and Man's View sat down for their first on-camera interview ever on the tribute site NJS West! , which is scheduled to debut August 6, 2008 (Tim's birthday, coincidentally).
