Who is Todd J. Rathner?
Todd J. Rathner is a member of the National Rifle Association of America Board of Directors where he has served since he was elected in 1999. Rathner currently serves on the following NRA committees: Executive Committee, Bylaws and Resolutions Committee, Legislative Policy Committee, International Affairs Committee, President's Committee on Ways and Means, and Hunting and Wildlife Conservation Committee.
Rathner grew up hunting and target shooting with his father, uncle and cousins and continues to do so today. He is a two time graduate of Gunsite Training Center in Paulden, Arizona.
Rathner is the principal of Rathner and Associates an Arizona lobbying and political consulting firm, specializing in tax, land use and legislation related to individual rights, especially the right to bear arms, hunting, and self-defense.
Rathner serves as the Director of Legislative Policy for Knife Rights, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of knife owners and manufacturers.
Rathner is also the lobbyist for the American Silencer Association
As an Arizona Lobbyist, in 2010 Rathner played a critical role in enacting Arizona's "Constitutional Carry" law, which allows law abiding citizens to carry a concealed weapon without a permit. This makes Arizona the third state behind Vermont and Alaska to enact such a law.
