Who is Tom Barsi?
Tom Barsi is President and CEO of ConSentry
Networks, Inc. Since joining the organization in 2003 at the company's
inception, Barsi has helped ConSentry Networks raise $70 million in
funding from tier one venture capital firms Sequoia Capital, Accel
Partners and INVESCO and lead it into one of the fastest growing
networking start-ups in Silicon Valley. Today, ConSentry Networks' is a
global organization with offices in North America, Europe and Asia and
a customer list of Fortune 100 companies, global carriers and
universities worldwide.
Prior to joining ConSentry Networks, Barsi was a co-founder and
officer for VINA Technologies, where he served as VP of marketing and
business development. At VINA, Barsi developed the overall go-to-market
strategy, hired the team and grew revenues from $0 to $50 million in
annual sales, which eventually led to VINA’s successful IPO in 2000.Earlier in his career, Tom was with
Pacific Bell, where he managed the formation and launch of PacBell's
dedicated Internet access product targeted at Fortune 500 companies. He earned a bachelor's degree with an emphasis on marketing from California State University at Chico.
