Who is Tom Leppert?

Tom Leppert is Chief Executive Officer of Kaplan, Inc., a subsidiary of Graham Holdings Company and one of the world's largest education providers. He has oversight of the company’s operating divisions: Kaplan Test Prep and Kaplan Higher Education in the United States, and Kaplan International based in London, UK and with operations across Europe, Asia, and Australia. Leppert served as mayor of Dallas, Texas from 2007 to 2011, and previously worked as CEO of the Turner Corporation. Leppert announced in February 2011 that he would run for the United States Senate election in Texas, 2012. His Senate campaign ended with a third-place finish in the May 29, 2012 Republican primary election.
