Who was Tommy Lynch?
Thomas William "Tommy" Lynch was a New Zealand rugby league footballer. An international centre for Other Nationalities, he played for English club Halifax from 1951 to 1956. He made 188 appearances for Halifax, scoring 112 tries and nine goals. He was a member of the 1953–54 Challenge Cup squads. He played in another Challenge Cup final in 1956 but returned home to New Zealand after that. He died at his home in South Canterbury, New Zealand, on 29 December 2006.
