Who is Tommy Sowers?
Tommy Sowers is a Visiting Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke University. Prior to Duke, Sowers served as the Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs. He was the 2010 Democratic nominee for the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's 8th congressional district and is a former US Army Special Forces officer.
