Who is Tony Friedlander?

Anthony Peter David Friedlander, QSO, is a former New Zealand politician of the National Party.

He represented the New Plymouth electorate in Parliament from 1975 to 1987, when he was defeated by Harry Duynhoven. He was a cabinet minister.

Since leaving politics, he has been a chief executive of the Road Transport Forum, which represents trucking companies and lobbies for road transport in New Zealand.

In the 1994 New Year Honours, Friedlander was made a Companion of the Queen's Service Order for public services.
