Who is Veena Rawat?
Veena Rawat is an electrical engineer who specializes in telecommunications. Until 2011, she was the President of the Communications Research Centre, an agency of Industry Canada that carries out research and development in communications technologies. For over 40 years, CRC has made significant contributions to the information and communications technology sector in Canada and abroad. The CRC’s research encompasses the four main platforms for information delivery: terrestrial wireless, satellite, fibre optics and broadcasting.
In 2010 Rawat was a candidate for the position of Director, Radiocommunication Bureau, International Telecommunication Union.
