Who was Victor Ehrenberg?
Victor Ehrenberg was a German historian. He was the younger brother of Hans Ehrenberg and the nephew of the jurist Victor Ehrenberg.
Ehrenberg was born in Altona, Hamburg. He was married to Eva Dorothea Ehrenberg, née Sommer. He served in German Army on the Western Front during World War I and was awarded Iron Cross, 2nd Class. Ehrenberg was the father of Geoffrey and Lewis Elton, and grandfather of Ben Elton. He died, aged 84, in London.
