Who was Victor of Damascus?
St. Victor of Damascus is a martyr saint in the Eastern Orthodox Church. Victor was a Roman soldier of Italian ancestry, serving in the city of Damascus in Syria during the reign of Emperor Antoninus Pius. He was tortured and killed by Roman soldiers in Damascus in 160 AD for his Christian beliefs.
