Who was Viktor Eberhard Gräbner?
Viktor Eberhard Gräbner was originally an officer in the German Army who in 1943 transferred to the Waffen-SS. On 23 August 1944 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, the highest Third Reich award for bravery, and 26 days later he died in the Battle of Arnhem.
